Grant Guidelines For NIMS Fees Reimbursment

The PMPA Education Foundation will set aside limited funds on a yearly basis to reimburse employees of PMPA member and non-member firms the cost incurred for obtaining NIMS certification(s) based on criteria listed below. Some of these funds will also be available to reimburse fees and expenses paid for achieving NIMS accreditation of company based training programs. The PMPA Education Foundation Board will establish the total amount of funds to be made available to this reimbursement program in any one calendar year. The Education Foundation Board may restrict the amount of money reimbursed to employees from any one company.

Funds will be allocated in the following priority sequence:
  1. Reimbursement to an employee of a PMPA member company the fees associated with credentialing, certification and registration for NIMS Level I General Machining Skills and Level II or Level III Screw Machining Skills or General Machining Skills.

  2. Reimbursement to an employee of a non-PMPA member company in the precision machined products industry the fees associated with credentialing, certification and registration for NIMS Level I General Machining Skills and Level II or Level III Screw Machining Skills or General Machining Skills.

  3. Reimbursement to a PMPA member company the cost associated with NIMS accreditation of that company's training programs in General Machining or Screw Machining Skills.

  4. Reimbursement to a non-PMPA member company the cost associated with NIMS accreditation of that company's training programs in General Machining or Screw Machining Skills.
